WDS offers enrollment on an academic school year basis unless a spot becomes available during the year. Letters of Intent are distributed to current WDS families in January. Once all intent letters are returned to the office, welcome letters are emailed to families on the wait list in February.

If interested in hearing more about Westhampton Day School and enrollment, the first step is to set up a tour. Tours are given on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Touring during this window allows you to see both classroom activities and resources, and provides you with a better understanding of the daily routine at WDS. Tours are not scheduled during the month of September.

Once you have submitted your enrollment application and the registration fee to the WDS office, your child will be placed on the wait list. The wait list is kept in order by date the enrollment application is received. Prospective Kindergarten students come to WDS for a classroom visit. Based on availability, Kindergarten contracts are offered.

Children are offered enrollment in the following order:
1. Current WDS students moving up to the next age level
2. Siblings of currently enrolled WDS students
3. Children currently on the wait list
4. Outside applications by date received

WDS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, sex, age, religion, gender identity, gender expression, disability, or sexual orientation in its educational program and activities for employment practices.
